Open Gym Guidelines

Crossfit 8085 is a training facility which takes pride in coaching, developing, and challenging our athletes. More than 40 group classes are offered per week in order to train 300+ athletes. Open Gym time is also offered to all CrossFit 8085 athletes, along with a scheduled coach, in order to supplement their training. The goal of Open Gym is for athletes to make up a missed WOD, improve skills, target weaknesses, or perform accessory or supplemental conditioning. The following guidelines apply to athletes during Open Gym time and before / during / after group classes and on-ramp.

  • Open Gym:

  • Monday & Friday: 11:00 AM - 12:00; 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

  • Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM; 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM

  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

  • During Open Gym hours, athletes may perform Accessory-Skill Work or Supplemental Conditioning Workouts with the approval of the scheduled coach.

  • Accessory-Skill Work: Mobility, Gymnastics Skill Work, Weightlifting, Powerlifting, EMOM’s, etc.

  • Supplemental Conditioning Workouts: Workouts for time, reps, rounds, etc outside of the regular class programming.

  • Group Classes & On-Ramp:

  • During regularly scheduled group classes and on-ramp, athletes may perform Accessory Work 30 minutes before attending class and anytime after attending class as long as it is approved by the scheduled coach and does not interfere with ongoing classes.

  • Additionally, with coach approval, athletes may complete missed conditioning workouts (WODS) from the group programming that week or the previous week.

  • Supplemental Conditioning Workouts, or WODS outside the regular class programming, should not be completed during group classes or on-ramp.

  • Supplemental Conditioning Workouts require coach approval and are best completed during regularly scheduled Open Gym hours and after any scheduled workout of the day (WOD).

  • Please Note: Group classes will have preference and priority over equipment when athletes are performing accessory work or supplemental conditioning workouts.
