10 min: STRICT Handstand Push-up Skill Work

  • Goal is to find the most challenging variation of a STRICT HSPU an athlete can complete w/ good technique.

  • Options:

  • Strict HSPU (no pad)

  • Strict HSPU w/ 1 AbMat or similar sized padded object

  • Box HSPU w/ knees or feet (more difficult) on box

  • Add 1 AbMat or similar sized padded object to decrease difficulty

  • Piked Push-up (on the ground, hips above shoulders)

  • Yoga Push-up


WOD:


On a 12 min Clock:

Optional 30 sec Sprint Effort (see options below)

1 STRICT HSPU / Strict HSPU variation…(Rd 1)


Optional 30 sec Sprint Effort

2 STRICT HSPU / Strict HSPU variation


Optional 30 sec Sprint Effort

3 STRICT HSPU / Strict HSPU variation and son on adding +1-rep until time expires…(Rd 3)


**Optional Sprint Efforts: 100m Sprint / 150/100m Row / .3/2 Bike / 30 Double Unders or 60 Singles / Jumping Jacks @30 sec / Mountain Climbers @30 sec / Burpees @30 sec, etc**
