How did you get into CrossFit?

I got into CrossFit in 2012. I tried a few different gyms, but I would usually stick with it for a couple of months and then quit. After moving to Evansville, I found CrossFit High Bar in 2015, and that’s when it finally stuck. I found a community and a place that made me want to keep coming back.

How long have you been doing CrossFit/coaching?

I’ve been doing CrossFit on and off since 2012, but I’ve been consistently doing it since 2015. I’ve only been coaching for the past few years.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

A fun fact about me is that I used to be a flight attendant based out of JFK in New York when I was in my early twenties. It feels like a completely different lifetime now!

What do you do for work outside the gym?

I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for many years and consider myself a homemaker. I’m also very involved in my kids’ Little League and other sports programs, volunteering whenever I can. Most of my time outside the gym is spent taking care of my family and being involved in whatever my kids have going on.

Family Life

I have four children: Vega, who is 21 and a chef in New York City; Judah, who is 18 and is studying to be an engineer at Purdue; Ezra, who is 13 and in eighth grade at Helfrich Park; and Isaiah, who is 11 and in sixth grade at Helfrich Park. Ezra and Isaiah are both very active in sports and have very busy social lives, so there’s never a dull moment! I’m also married to Kyle, and I’m incredibly thankful for him. He’s a great supporter of me, my CrossFit journey, and all of my CrossFit ambitions.

Go-to Post Workout Meal

It’s not necessarily a post-workout meal, but I eat the same lunch pretty much every single day: ground beef, cottage cheese, and Quest protein chips. Every. Single. Day.
