Fitness Ed. is a semester-based Physical Education course for homeschool students in grades 6–12, led by CrossFit Level 1 Coach Briley Villarreal Cruz. Students meet twice per week for 60-minute classes focused on strength training, cardiovascular fitness, and skill development, with workouts modified for all fitness levels.
The 16-week course provides approximately 32 instructional hours and may be used toward 0.5 Physical Education credit. Students who do not need academic credit are still welcome to enroll and participate as a regular fitness class. Attendance and progress are tracked, with documentation available for homeschool transcripts.
Class Meets: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30am
If the Fitness Ed schedule doesn’t work for your family, Briley also offers Personal Training and Small Group Sessions. Contact her today for more information!
Hi, my name is Briley Neikirk, and I am so excited to continue our Grind Culture Club! Our youth have so much potential that many of them have yet to discover, and I desire to help students achieve their full potential both physically and mentally. As a personal trainer and CrossFit coach, I thrive on motivating individuals to lead active, healthy lives. The intention of GCC is to give young people the opportunity to become stronger and fitter in a fun, stress-free environment with their peers. They’ll learn proper lifting techniques, perform plyometric and agility drills, and improve their cardiovascular endurance. Hard work and grit is required, but we’ll have a good time doing it!
